Mazel Tov, Sam!

We are immensely proud to announce that Samantha Scopis, a vibrant freshman at Fullerton Un

ion High School, will be stepping into her new chapter of life as a Bat Mitzvah on Saturday of October 21, 2023.

Known to those close to her as Sam, she is a runner with a fierce spirit, contributing her strong strides to the school cross-country team. Beyond the racing course, Sam's creativity comes alive behind the lens. She recently discovered a passion for photography, capturing moments of beauty and intrigue in the world around her. Sam's adventurous spirit is best exemplified in her love for rock climbing. Whether it's the indoor climbing wall or the rugged terrains of the picturesque Yosemite Valley, she embraces every challenge with grit and determination. Off the climbing walls, Sam cherishes the rich tapestry of laughter and shared moments with her close-knit circle of friends.

As part of her mitzvah project, Sam is channeling her profound sense of empathy and care towards a cause close to her heart - the situation in Israel. She is actively raising awareness and encouraging donations directly to Magen David Adom, Israel’s national emergency, medical, disaster, ambulance, and blood bank service. Her choice to support Magen David Adom stems from her desire to aid those in desperate need. This organization plays a critical role on the frontline, providing first aid and unflinching support to the Israel Defense Forces.

Mazel tov, Sam, on your accomplishments and dedication, and as you embark on this new and exciting phase of your life!
