Butterflies Flutter By TBT

Congregants and community members gathered at Temple Beth Tikvah on Saturday, May 6 to participate in The Butterfly Project, a global initiative to paint 1.5 million ceramic butterflies to honor the 1.5 million Jewish children killed in the Holocaust.


After a screening of the award-winning documentary Not the Last Butterfly, participants were invited to paint the butterflies that will become an art installition on the wall of the Asa building, facing our Holocaust Memorial Garden.


In total, over 140 butterflies were painted. Installation of the butterfly display will begin soon. We are extremely grateful to all those who participated, and to our event sponsors:
